General Terms and Conditions of Sale

  • FIXING A PRODUCT CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THE PRODUCT AND THESE CONDITIONS.
  • ALL TILES SHOULD BE CHECKED ON RECEIPT. THE ACT OF LAYING MEANS THE MATERIAL IS ACCEPTED FOR SHADE, QUALITY, TYPE AND SIZE. NO CLAIM WILL BE ACCEPTED ONCE TILES HAVE BEEN FIXED.
  • All tiles must be laid in accordance with recognized industry standards.
  • It is the fixer’s responsibility to lay the materials under control of the client or the client agent, eg builder.
  • We give no guarantees other than those given by the Manufacturer.
  • No responsibility can be accepted for crazing, cracking or chipping of tiles.
  • The Purchaser acknowledges that quantities estimated or quoted by our staff are only approximate and no responsibility will be accepted in this regard. The purchaser assumes all responsibility for ordering the correct quantity of goods and Urban Edge Ceramics shall in no way be responsible for any loss the purchaser may suffer due to the ordering of an incorrect quantity of goods.
  • Although every effort will be made to provide the exact product for subsequent re-orders, identical shades, batches or prices cannot be guaranteed.
  • Urban Edge Ceramics shall not be liable in any respect for advice provided herein regarding fixing, grouting, sealing, cleaning or maintenance.
  • Determining the suitability of our products for any intended use shall be solely the responsibility of the Purchaser.
  • Urban Edge Ceramics shall not be liable for any damage or breakage whatsoever occurring after delivery or for any loss incurred by the purchaser as a result of such damage or breakage.
  • Claims arising from transit damage or shortages must be made at time of delivery.
  • All goods are sold subject to their normal and natural colour variations and samples given or displayed in the showroom are to be considered indicative only.
  • Any credit/refunds will be at purchase price less 30% for handling charges on returned goods. Stock items bear a 14 day period of return and must comply with stock held in the warehouse at time of return.  Material indented specifically for the purchaser will not be accepted for return /credit.
  • Returns are to be in full unopened boxes only.
  • ALL CREDITS AND RETURNS ARE AT URBAN EDGE CERAMICS DISCRETION AT ALL TIMES.
  • A minimum of 50% of the total contract price shall be paid on the placement of order with the balance payable on pickup or prior to delivery.
  • Urban Edge Ceramics will not be held responsible for delays on goods indented specifically for the Purchaser caused by the factory or shipping or Australian docks/Customs which are beyond our control.
  • Urban Edge Ceramics is entitled to recognition for designs, selections and concepts if they are being used for publication.
